To store oral and injectable weight loss medications, it’s crucial to maintain a temperature range of 36°F to 46°F (2°C to 8°C). Keep the medication in their original packaging to shield them from light, and be cautious not to freeze them, as this can compromise their efficacy. Due to the medication containing glass parts, handle them with care. If a medication is accidentally dropped on a hard surface, it should not be used, and a new pen should be used for the injection. Be mindful of variations in refrigerator temperature, as some areas may be colder than others. Always check the medication before use to ensure it hasn’t frozen. Notably, medications can last unrefrigerated for up to 21 days, provided the temperature doesn’t exceed 86°F (30°C). It’s advisable to store the pen in its original carton to protect it from light during this period.
For optimal results, we suggest adopting healthier eating habits and engaging in regular physical activity. Emphasizing a diet rich in protein, healthy fats, and fiber, while minimizing processed foods, is highly recommended.
Maintaining a stable weight after discontinuing weight loss medication is possible, thanks to the positive lifestyle changes these medications encourage. However, returning to unhealthy eating and lifestyle habits may lead to weight gain.
